Cathryn from Fusion Northern Soul and Motown

Cathryn performs Northern Soul and Motown at Soul Bar, drawing from the musical movements that shaped British mod culture and American R&B through the sixties and seventies. Motown, born in Detroit, created enduring global hits that crossed genre boundaries, whilst Northern Soul developed as a dedicated UK subculture built around rare records and energetic dance floors. Cathryn's live set showcases soulful vocals across uptempo dancefloor tracks and classic rhythm and blues numbers, presented in a cabaret-style format. The performance honours the history of black American music and its influence on British club culture, particularly the Wigan Casino scene. Suitable for longtime soul enthusiasts and those seeking a sophisticated evening of live music.
