About Draffens

Draffens is a speakeasy-style cocktail bar in the basement of a building on Couttie's Wynd, in Dundee city centre. The building was once part of Draffens department store, a Dundee shop that began in 1834 and later became Debenhams. In 2016 part of the basement reopened as a speakeasy bar. The entrance is an unmarked side door off the alley, with stairs down to a 1920s style room. The cocktail menu is laid out like a store catalogue, and old-time music plays throughout.
