About Slessor Gardens

Slessor Gardens is an open-air green space on the Dundee waterfront, between Caird Hall and the Tay. It was created on the site of the former Tayside House, which stood where the Earl Grey and King William IV docks once lay. Opened by Queen Elizabeth II in July 2016, it is named in honour of the missionary Mary Slessor. The lawn now hosts outdoor concerts and festivals, mostly on Saturdays. Expect cover bands, DJs, country and Americana. Events include Summer in Nashville and The Ibiza Orchestra Experience.
