About The Pillars Bar & Lounge

The Pillars Bar & Lounge is a traditional pub on Crichton Street in Dundee, with a separate lounge along the corridor. It is one of the city's oldest surviving pubs and has been serving drinks since 1864. The B-listed building dates from the construction of Crichton Street and was once an umbrella shop. The name recalls Dundee's old Town House, known locally as "the pillars" and a copper model of it was placed above the door in 1932. Listings are mostly electronic and DJ nights and tribute acts, plus wine tastings and Ibiza themed nights.
